Come and join us in our Quilting adventure!
Joplin Area Town and Country Quilters
The Town and Country Quilters of Joplin, Missouri, was established in 1985. Our purpose is to promote the art and craft of patchwork and quilting. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in the craft, from beginner to the professional. Annual dues are $20.00.

We invite you to visit our general monthly meetings at Peace Lutheran Church on North St. Louis in Joplin Missouri. We meet the 3rd Tuesday every month starting with an educational class at 10:30 am, followed by a pot luck luncheon at noon. We then have a formal program with an invited speaker starting at 1 pm, followed by our monthly business meeting, and ending with a guild member Show and Tell. You will be a part of a great group of people who share the same interest as you.
Our Next Meeting
Each month we will describe the program for the month.  A visitor is welcomed to attend two meetings before becoming a member.

During these unprecedented times, scheduled activities for the Joplin Area Town and Country may change from month to month.  Please scroll down  monthly for an update schedule.

Happy New Year from the Joplin Area Town and Country Quilters Guild!

2021 was a tough year with Covid making it unsafe for the guild to meet until fall, but due to the unwavering support from our members, we were able to surpass our goals with the numbers of Community Support projects completed and donated throughout the area.  Members picked up and returned "homework" kits and this made the time spent staying home more bearable doing something worthwhile.   We are looking forward to fun, educational, informative programs in 2022, and there is a great line-up planned.    At this time we will not be holding Noon pot luck lunches before the meetings.  Meetings are scheduled for the third Tuesday of each month at Peace Lutheran Church, 3100 N. St. Louis, Joplin MO 64801.  Face masks are required for all attending meetings and work days.

On January 18th at 1:00 p.m. members will be showing their creations from the "Do You Want to Build a Snowman?" challenge.  Those participating were furnished with a blue snowflake fat quarter of fabric .  This piece of fabric had to be used somewhere in any kind of project that incorporates a snowman.  They will also share a favorite winter  memory.

If Joplin Public Schools are canceled due to inclement weather, all guild activities are canceled that day.

Questions about the guild and activities can be posted on the "Contact Us" button of the website.

And until next time, happy quilting!
